Red Bird Mission is an outreach of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. It is just 42 miles from the Cumberland Gap in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky. Some of the poorest of our country live there. The work camp at Red Bird continues projects from march through October. This is a large part of the work at Red Bird, but not all of it. Churches all across the US send in Campbell Soup labels to help provide transportation for the camp. Red Bird Mission lifts high the name of Jesus Christ in everything the do.
- The camp also has a medical clinic and a dental clinic that sees 350 patients a month.
- There is also a K-12 Christian School operated and supported by the mission.
