About

The purpose of the Children’s Ministry at Saint Matthew is to help educate, guide and encourage our children in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We are dedicated to helping them experience the incredible love of Christ through hands on and high energy lessons, worship time and Christian fellowship with their peers.

It is our intention for the children to learn and study the Bible stories while also being able to relate the stories to their everyday life.

Children are a precious gift from God and it is our mission to equip them with the Word they need to light their path and guide their way. Our Children’s Ministry team is here to ensure that your kids love coming to learn about Jesus at church!

Parent Online Safety Guide

In this day and age where our children seem to know about technology more than parents do, it is important for us to take action and have steps to take to help our children. We have a guide from National Online Safety to help parents be in the know.

Child Protection Policy

St. Matthew Church seeks to provide a safe and secure environment for the children and youth who participate in our programs and activities. By implementing the practices on our Child and Youth Protection Policy, our goal is to protect the children of St. Matthew from incidents of misconduct or inappropriate behavior while also protecting our staff and volunteers (workers) from false accusations.

Keeping your kids safe while they are in our care is one of our top priorities. In order to do that, we use Kid Check! It’s easy, it’s fast and it’s free! So when you get to church, just put your cell phone number into the Kid Check iPads that you will find with a friendly helper in our nurseries and Kids’ Town gazebo and you’re all done, we will take your kid’s from there.

Good News Club

Good News Club is back for the 2025 – 2026 School Year!

Meets every Tuesday afternoon right after school during the school year.

St. Matthew Church is host to an after-school Good News Club® for Kindergarten through 3rd graders. We work in cooperation with public schools to supplement the children’s education with biblical principles. Sound Bible teaching not only helps children grow spiritually, it also has a positive impact on their personal and home life, school performance and decision-making skills.
