 Passage: Psalm 23:5
In any time of transition, or during any time at all, we can rely on one constant, trustworthy, reliable fact: Jesus Christ is Lord. Can you make this claim: Jesus is my Lord, my Savior, my Friend, and my Shepherd?

 Passage: Jeremiah 29:11
Do you realize that God thinks about you? In fact, he even sings over us.

 Passage: Ephesians 3:8
Like the Apostle Paul, I realize it is a great privilege to be allowed to preach the gospel: "Although I am less that the least of all God's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ" (Ephesians 3:8).

 Passage: 1 Corinthians 2:1-5
As I have prepared the last few sermons before I retire from preaching to this congregation, I have asked myself, "Is there anything I have not told you that I should have told you?" I know that it is exceedingly presumptuous, but I identify with Paul when he wrote to the Corinthians about his ministry among them.

 Passage: Ephesians 3:14-19
Trinity Sunday has always been a difficult day for me. I feel compelled to do more than just acknowledge the doctrine; I want to preach something that unveils inspiring truth about God as three yet one. But those are hard sermons to preach, about the hardest sermons I ever preach. It occurred to me this year that it is even harder for you, the congregation, who have to listen to those sermons. Yet, I'm going to subject you to one more attempt, another shot at preaching on the Trinity. So, listen and think about the prayer in Ephesians 3: 14-19.

 Passage: Ephesians 1:17
How do you recognize the true work of the Holy Spirit? There's an insight in Paul's first prayer for the saints at Ephesus in which he talks about the nature of the Holy Spirit.

 Passage: John 19:25-27
How do you work out the priorities of God and family in your life? Jesus had a family and hard to sort these priorities out in his own life, just like we do. There is a lot that we can learn from Jesus' interaction with his mother from the cross.

 Passage: Acts 2:32-36
The ascension of Jesus Christ is the most critical yet most neglected component of the gospel today. That certainly was not the case in the early church. It has a prominent place in Peter's sermon at Pentecost, the prototype of New Testament preaching.

 Passage: John 21:15-19
The last resurrection appearance of Jesus that John chose to tell us about took place one morning on the shore of the Sea of Galilee where Jesus fixed a fish breakfast for his disciples and had a talk with Peter.

 Passage: Malachi 3:10-11
The Lord wants to abundantly bless us, but too often we do not believe him. In fact, our actions as well as our words indict us, revealing that we really do not trust him, especially when it comes to money.
