 Passage: Acts 2:42
The Apostles' Creed explicitly states essential teachings, or doctrines, that Jesus' apostles taught, and it also implicitly includes come key teachings of Christianity, essential things that are clearly basic Christian belief.

 Passage: Acts 2:42
It may seem so obvious that we no longer really think about it, but the things that we believe about God are inalienable to Christian faith.  Passage: Luke 2:36
Anna gets only three verses in the Bible; after all she isn't the center of the story, Jesus is. But this 84 year-old widow, a prophet from the tribe of Asher, provides us with a basic model for a life of faithful devotion and prayer.
